Los Angeles Regional Food Bank

Who We Are

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that has been fighting hunger in Los Angeles County since 1973. Our mission is to mobilize resources to fight hunger in our community and ensure that no one goes hungry. We work with a network of over 600 partner agencies to distribute food to those in need.

What We Do

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank collects, stores, and distributes food to those in need. We work with a variety of sources, including grocery stores, food manufacturers, and farmers, to collect surplus food that would otherwise go to waste. We then distribute this food to our network of partner agencies, which includes food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters.

Impact

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank serves over 300,000 people every month. In 2020, we distributed over 100 million pounds of food, which equates to over 83 million meals. Our work helps to alleviate hunger in Los Angeles County and ensures that families and individuals have access to nutritious food.
