Help is provided regardless of faith, with much of it delivered through vouchers and a food pantry.
The council operates three thrift stores in the greater Omaha area, in Westwood, Papillion, and the Northwest part of the city, offering clothing, furniture, and home goods at deeply discounted prices. Sales fund the council's programs.

SVdP Omaha runs a large, free-choice food pantry on Leavenworth Street where families can select the food that best fits their needs. Neighbors in need can also receive free vouchers to obtain essential household items from the thrift stores.
