Who We Are

Food Bank of Iowa is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1982. Our mission is to provide food assistance to Iowans in need and to eliminate hunger in the state. We work with a network of partner agencies to distribute food to those who need it most.

What We Do

Food Bank of Iowa collects, stores, and distributes food to over 500 partner agencies across the state. These agencies include food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters. We also provide food to schools and after-school programs through our BackPack Program.

In addition to distributing food, we also provide education and outreach programs to help people make healthy food choices and learn how to prepare nutritious meals on a budget.
