A geographic note before you donate or seek help: this organization covers the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, roughly the central and western parts of the state. The Diocese of Tulsa operates its own separate Catholic Charities programs for eastern Oklahoma.
SNAP changes under HR 1 cut benefits for people who entered the country under asylum and refugee laws, a direct hit to the populations Catholic Charities serves and represents. Families the organization resettled are now more dependent on its food assistance than on the federal safety net.
Western Oklahoma adds another layer.
