Who We Are
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas (RMHCA) is a non-profit organization that provides a “home away from home” for families with seriously ill children who are receiving medical treatment in Little Rock, Arkansas. The organization was founded in 1981 and has been serving families for over 40 years.
What We Do
RMHCA provides a comfortable and supportive environment for families to stay while their child is receiving medical treatment. The organization operates two Ronald McDonald Houses in Little Rock, which offer private bedrooms, communal living spaces, and a fully equipped kitchen. Additionally, RMHCA offers a Family Room at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, where families can rest, relax, and recharge while remaining close to their child.
Impact
Since its founding, RMHCA has served over 30,000 families. The organization’s services have allowed families to stay close to their child during a difficult time, reducing the financial and emotional burden of traveling long distances for medical care. RMHCA’s programs have also helped families connect with one another and find support during their child’s illness.
Giving

Grants
RMHCA offers grants to families who are facing financial hardship due to their child’s medical treatment. These grants can be used for expenses such as transportation, lodging, and meals.
Research
