Who We Are

Our House is a non-profit organization that provides shelter, education, and support to homeless and near-homeless families and individuals in the Little Rock, Arkansas area. Our mission is to empower homeless and near-homeless families and individuals to succeed in the workforce, in school, and in life through hard work, wise decision-making, and active participation in the community.

What We Do

Our House provides a variety of services to help homeless and near-homeless families and individuals get back on their feet. These services include:

– Emergency shelter: Our House provides emergency shelter for up to 80 families and individuals at a time.

– Transitional housing: Our House also provides transitional housing for families and individuals who are ready to move out of emergency shelter but still need support.

– Education: Our House offers a variety of educational programs, including GED classes, job training, and financial literacy classes.

– Childcare: Our House provides high-quality childcare for the children of homeless and near-homeless families.

– Support services: Our House offers a variety of support services, including case management, counseling, and assistance with finding permanent housing.

Impact

Since its founding in 1987, Our House has helped thousands of homeless and near-homeless families and individuals get back on their feet. Here are just a few of the ways that Our House has made a difference:

– In 2019, Our House provided emergency shelter to 1,031 individuals and transitional housing to 49 families.

– 90% of Our House’s GED graduates pass the exam on their first try.

– 90% of Our House’s job training graduates find employment within six months of completing the program.
