Who We Are
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida is a non-profit organization that provides a home away from home for families with seriously ill or injured children. We have been serving families in the Central Florida area since 1996 and have helped thousands of families during their time of need.
Our mission is to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families. We believe that when a child is sick, the entire family is affected, and we strive to provide comfort, care, and support to families during their difficult times.
What We Do
We provide a home away from home for families with seriously ill or injured children who are receiving medical treatment in the Central Florida area. Our two Ronald McDonald Houses in Orlando and Lake Nona offer a comfortable and supportive environment where families can stay together during their child’s treatment.
In addition to our Houses, we also offer a variety of programs and services to support families, including meal programs, transportation assistance, educational resources, and emotional support.
Impact
Since our founding in 1996, we have helped thousands of families during their time of need. Our Houses have provided over 50,000 nights of lodging to families, saving them over $7 million in hotel costs. We have also served over 200,000 meals to families and provided transportation assistance to over 1,000 families.
But our impact goes beyond just providing physical support. We also offer emotional support to families during their difficult times, helping them to cope with the stress and uncertainty that comes with having a seriously ill or injured child.
