Montana Environmental Information Center

Montana Environmental Information Center (MEIC) is a non-profit organization that has been working for over 40 years to protect Montana’s environment. MEIC was founded in 1973 by a group of concerned citizens who were worried about the impact of mining and other resource extraction on Montana’s natural resources.

What We Do

MEIC works to protect Montana’s environment through advocacy, education, and litigation. We work to promote sustainable development, protect wildlife and habitat, and ensure that Montana’s natural resources are managed in a responsible and sustainable way.

Impact
