Who We Are
The Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is a non-profit organization that has been serving the community since 1950. Our mission is to help people with disabilities and other barriers to employment achieve independence and self-sufficiency through job training and other support services.
What We Do
We provide a variety of services to help individuals overcome barriers to employment, including job training, career counseling, and job placement assistance. We also operate retail stores that sell donated goods, with the proceeds going to support our programs and services.
Impact
Our programs and services have a significant impact on the lives of the individuals we serve. In 2019, we helped over 1,800 people with disabilities and other barriers to employment find jobs or receive job training. Our retail stores also diverted over 20 million pounds of goods from landfills.
Giving
We rely on the generosity of donors to support our programs and services. You can make a donation online or at one of our retail stores. We also accept donations of gently used clothing, furniture, and other household items.

We are committed to staying up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field of workforce development. We conduct research and evaluation to ensure that our programs and services are effective and meet the needs of the individuals we serve.
