Who We Are

The Connecticut Food Bank is a non-profit organization that has been serving the state of Connecticut since 1982. Our mission is to provide nutritious food to people in need, and to work towards ending hunger in our communities. We are a member of Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization.

What We Do

The Connecticut Food Bank collects and distributes food to over 600 local food pantries, soup kitchens, and other programs that serve people in need. We also provide education and advocacy to raise awareness about hunger and its impact on our communities.

Impact

In 2020, the Connecticut Food Bank distributed over 28 million pounds of food, providing over 23 million meals to people in need. Our programs and services reach over 300,000 people annually, including children, seniors, and families facing food insecurity.

Giving

There are many ways to support the Connecticut Food Bank’s mission, including making a donation, hosting a food drive, or volunteering your time. Every dollar donated helps provide three meals to people in need.

Grants
