Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Louisiana

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Louisiana is a non-profit organization that has been serving the community since 1972. Our mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

What We Do

We match children, ages 6-18, with caring adult mentors who serve as positive role models. Our mentoring programs are designed to help children develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in life. We offer both community-based and school-based mentoring programs.

Impact

Our programs have a proven track record of success. Children who participate in our mentoring programs are more likely to graduate from high school, attend college, and avoid risky behaviors such as drug and alcohol use. They also report higher levels of self-esteem and confidence.

Giving

We rely on the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations to support our programs. Your donation can make a big difference in the life of a child. You can donate online or by mail.

Grants

We are grateful for the support of our grant partners, who help us to provide quality mentoring programs to children in need. If you are interested in becoming a grant partner, please contact us for more information.
