Who We Are
The United Way of Greater Portland is a non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of individuals and families in Cumberland County, Maine. We bring together community members, businesses, and organizations to address critical issues and create lasting change.
What We Do
Our mission is to improve people’s lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community. We do this by focusing on three key areas: education, financial stability, and health. We work with local partners to identify the most pressing needs in our community and develop strategies to address them.
Impact
Our work has a significant impact on the lives of people in our community. In the past year, we have helped over 50,000 individuals access critical services and resources. We have also invested over $10 million in local programs and services that support education, financial stability, and health.
Giving
