Steps

Super Simple Monster Lanterns

Cut squares of tissue paper in the colors you need for your monster. If your monster has two colors, use a crayon to draw the outline on the jar. This will serve as a guide when you start glueing.

Mix white craft glue with a little bit of water on your paper plate. This will make the glue easier to brush onto the tissue squares.

Work in sections. Start by painting your first section of your jar with the glue. Use the same brush to gently pick up squares of tissue paper and lay them down, overlapping and layering the squares. To intensify the colours, add a second layer once the first layer has dried.
Tip: You can speed up the drying process with a hair dryer.

When your jar is dry, glue on the eyes. Use a marker to add details like the mouth, arms, and hair. Cut out some white teeth from some white paper and glue them in place.
