Anyone and everyone is encouraged to shop at The Well Thrift Store, not just our clients. Donations can be dropped off inside door #7 on the west side of the building. Medical equipment can be expensive, but it doesn’t have to be if you can buy it second hand! We also have a medical loan closet where you can find limited medical equipment available for loan at no cost. If you are looking to move forward the mission of our poverty ministry by donating some of your valuable, vintage items, consider us.

With the help of local Habitat families, donors, community partners and volunteers, Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa builds affordable homes that provide a solid foundation for local families. The Community Donation Centre® at the Value Village® thrift store in Ottawa, ON, is the perfect place to donate clothes and other household items to our store’s local nonprofit partner, Diabetes Canada. Located near Merivale High School, our secondhand store is a one-stop shop to drop off your donations and Declutter ResponsiblyTM. Value Village® is committed to giving reusable items a second chance at life while helping save millions of pounds of clothing and household goods from landfills every year. Each time you donate items to Diabetes Canada at our store, we pay them for your stuff, providing revenue to help them fund important programs in your community. The rare book collection of the University of Ottawa was rebuilt after the fire of 1903 which destroyed the main buildings of the University , including the library and its collection. In the aftermath, the librarian Jean-Léon Allie was at the forefront of a large campaign to replace this terrible loss.
