Save The Children Foundation of America was founded on December 22nd, 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb after witnessing firsthand how impoverished European refugees were affected during World War I. They provide relief efforts aimed primarily toward helping young people who are victims of war or natural disasters such as famine and epidemics through their various projects which offer food assistance (for instance), medical services like measles immunizations or maternal care support; even educational opportunities including survival skills courses geared towards preventing hunger from developing in adults while teaching.
WHY SAVE THE CHILDREN?
Save The Children International’s mission statement: “We work together with our partners towards an end of poverty so every child can survive, develop into their potential and become active citizens.” They provide services such as nutrition programs for mothers and young infants under 5 years old; educational opportunities through after school tutoring sessions or summer camps where they educate children on topics like HIV/AIDS prevention; health care infrastructure development which includes training nurses who perform general checkups at villages without clinics available within 10 miles away from them.
