Samaritan’s Purse

Samaritan's Purse

Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, has delivered 157 million gift-filled shoeboxes to boys and girls around the world. We praise God for so many children who have been blessed with their very own keychain flashlight or pink bracelet as they unwrap these gifts in celebration!

Prepared To Respond

Crisis Response is a fast-paced, high-stakes environment that requires quick thinking and coordinated efforts to respond effectively. When disaster strikes, we deploy Disaster Assistance Response Teams comprised of experienced professionals trained in meeting the needs of people affected by crisis situations. Back at international headquarters our Incident Management Team coordinates with national teams on how best to get supplies flowing as quickly as possible so they can be deployed where needed most while providing other important services for those on the ground dealing directly with victims.

Food And Water

The food and water we provide can mean the difference between life or death for people after a disaster. We offer emergency kits that include staples like rice, beans and cooking oil to make sure you have enough sustenance while society recovers. After disasters contaminate our freshwater sources, they’re purified with packets of bacteria-removing chemicals that provides clean drinking water for up to 2,500 people at a time!

Medicine

Samaritan’s Purse strives to provide quality healthcare in the days following a crisis. They stock hospitals and clinics with medicines and supplies, as well as sending fully equipped mobile medical teams where people need it most!

Shelter

Samaritan’s Purse provides blankets, tents and poles to those who have lost their homes in disaster situations. They often construct transitional shelters for families as they recover from the shock of losing everything again.

Supplies

The storm or earthquake left survivors without the basics of daily life. When Samaritan’s Purse responds, we start by handing out needed supplies including cooking utensils, hygiene items to aid in cleanliness and water buckets for sanitation purposes.
