At our on-site book sales, we offer used adult titles in a broad range of fiction, poetry and drama, non-fiction and reference categories. We also offer a large selection of children’s titles. We feature both recent and older publications.

We prefer cash and checks for purchases at our on-site book sales. The drop-off location for donated items is at the back door of the Main Library at 800 Alma Street, Menlo Park .

If you want to get involved, we want to hear from you! The prices for these books are higher to reflect their age and rarity. However, they are priced modestly compared to their retail re-sale value. Open during hours when the library is open to the public. Limit of four bags or boxes (bankers box –12″x16″x10″– or smaller) per vehicle, per visit. Access information on making donations to the library. Friends of the Menlo Park Library has temporarily changed its rules for accepting donations. If you would like to make a tax-deductible monetary donation, lifetime gift or bequest, please visit the Menlo Park Library Foundation website. For donors dropping off donations, tax receipts are available on the outside wall at the drop-off area.
Where To Drop Off Items
In addition to books, we offer used CDs, DVDs, puzzles and games. The drop-off area is public and open-air. For this reason, neither the Library nor we can be responsible for the security of donated items. If you are concerned about this, pleasecontactus to arrange a time to bring your item during the Library’s open hours.
Selected items are priced a little higher, while most mass-market paperbacks are priced at 50 cents. The price for each item is either inside the cover page or stickered on the front. Our on-site book sales take place upstairs in the Great Hall of the Main Library at 800 Alma Street, Menlo Park. 📚😃 Subscription access to Tutor.com. In this age of distance learning, students of all ages need extra help to keep up their studies.
We offer assistance in bagging or boxing purchases. However, we do expect our customers to remove their purchases from the Library premises by the time the sale is over that day. Our on-site book sale prices are very modest. A majority of the books and other items are in the $1-$2 range.
