The Birthday Box A Non-Profit for Children in Need
Our New York Division is not accepting donations at this time. Who may not otherwise have a celebration on their special day. We work with partner organizations to provide children in their programs with Happy Birthdays.

Your local schools, women’s shelters, YMCAs, community centers, preschools, or churches. Truth be told, any place that has kids with busy hands would probably love any extra art supplies you’re not using. Donating craft supplies not only frees up valuable drawer space in your workshop, it’s also a great way to give the gift of creativity to those who may not be so fortunate as to have the option to try their hand at an artistic pursuit. Instead of throwing out all of those unused fat quarters or fibers, here’s where to donate craft supplies that you’re no longer using. Improving and empowering the lives of homeless children and their families by providing joy, play and hope through the magic of a birthday party. You can book an appointment to drop off art supply donations at Broad Room on Saturdays by clicking the button below.
Need more help decluttering and organizing your craft space?
Tissue paper, greeting cards , party decorations, ribbons, bows, rolls of gift wrap, gift bags, bubble wrap. If you’re donating to a school or classroom, you could even get creative and put together individual craft packs for the students. It really depends on where you’re donating as to what you might like to give away. Think about extra yarn, knitting needles, paints, paintbrushes, cardstock, beads, glue, scissors, etc. Sometimes when craft supplies are collected, they may be incorrect for the task at hand or part of an old hobby that no longer serves us.
Art tools, art paint, ink, paintbrushes, studio quality pens, pencils and markers, art paper, canvases and canvas making materials, sharpies, scissors, googly eyes, glitter, maps, screen and block printing materials, film, glue and tape, embroidery hoops, and jewelry supplies. Share Your Birthday™ with a child experiencing homelessness. The money you raise will ensure children in your community are celebrated on their birthday.

There used to be an organization which sent scrapbook supplies to US servicemen and women overseas because they could not get them in their locations. I would gladly pay the postage to send my leftover supplies to service people. I reside in Monroe Township NJ and have many crafting items I will no longer need. The receivers on the other end may be volunteers who simply don’t have the time to sort through “junk”.
